Have you heard of Zarephath?

Yeah, we hadn’t either.

Zarephath is the place God sent Elijah to find the widow at the well. She and her son were poor and dying of hunger. God told Elijah to tell this woman to feed him. Can you imagine asking a woman who couldn’t feed her own child to feed you?

Elijah recognized God’s instruction, was obedient to God’s plan and experienced God’s amazing provision. What a testimony 1 Kings 17 provides.

In Zarephath, miracles were performed,

God’s promises were fulfilled and refinement happened.

This story resonated with us as we were praying over what God wanted in our school. We believe that God will work miracles and refinement in and through our school. But, since most of us can’t spell or pronounce Zarephath, Refine KC it is!
